STABLEITE FLOORING
WE TRY TO ANSWER SOME COMMON QUESTIONS

Stableite mats have been designed and manufactured specially for equestrian use. Please do not confuse with obviously inferior products

WHAT ARE STABLEITE MATS MADE OF?
Hardwearing rubber crumb, therefore giving extremely long life. Rubber is a natural insulator and the mats are therefore warm. Being 2" thick, they are obviously more comfortable than most other alternatives and, if fitted correctly, the horse should not be able to move them, or get 'under' them, as could happen with some thinner products
HOW DO THE MATS DRAIN?
The mats are porous, which allows the urine, water, disinfectant, etc, to seep through and be removed via the stable drainage system.
WILL MY HORSE EAT THE MATS?
Stableite mats are extremely tough and, if fitted 'snugly', the horse should not be able to lift them or eat them. The mats are also unpalatable!
WILL MY HORSE GET CAST ON STABLEITE MATS?
The use of Stableite mats should not increase the problems of casting. Indeed, experience has found that the problem is in fact lessened as the mats have very good grip. However, for a horse which is inclined to get cast, routine use of an anti-cast roller is always desirable. Permanent banks of your chosen bedding can, of course, be left in situ if desired.

Stableite can also offer their , Anti-Cast Walling Mats'. These are 1 metre square mats designed to be affixed to the stable wall. They incorporate a horizontally ribbed surface with excellent grip to aid the horse in extracting itself if casting does occur.
